TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - WTVA chief meteorologist Matt Laubhan, meteorologist John Dolusic and anchor Emily Leonard are recipients of a 2021 Southeast EMMY® for their coverage of the EF1 tornado that swept through Tishomingo in March 2020.
Laubhan was also honored as “Best Weather Anchor” in the 2021 Southeast Regional EMMY® Awards which were announced Saturday night at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, GA.

The awards were presented virtually for the second year in a row because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The EMMY® awards were the first for Dolusic, second for Leonard, and seventh for Laubhan.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences identifies and celebrates television excellence at the local and regional level and serves the southeast region which includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Asheville, NC through the Southeast EMMY Chapter.
