COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - The Columbus Air Force Base (CAFB) honored one of the two pilots who died after their jet crashed in Alabama.
The base held the ceremony in memory of 1st Lt. Scot Ames Jr.
The jet from the Columbus AFB crashed in Montgomery, Alabama, on Feb. 19.
Ames, 24, was an instructor pilot.
The second pilot, 25-year-old Renshi Uesaki, was a student pilot from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
