COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - A man was seen on camera breaking into a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post and stealing items on March 15 at approximately 4 a.m.

Commander of VFW 4272, Dennis Jewell, said he saw a man climb the fire escape and break into the second floor.

He reported seeing the man walk around the bingo hall and circle the property four times.

Jewell said he also saw the man climb onto chairs and attempt to break in from the patio.

The man allegedly stole alcohol and a small amount of money.

Police looked for fingerprints, but Jewell said the man wore gloves.

The VFW does not know the identity of the man seen on video, so they're offering a $250 reward for information leading up to his arrest.
