Bullets fly during vehicle fire in Aberdeen

Aberdeen police confirm vehicle caught fire with a gun inside of it, sending bullets into the air.

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) - Aberdeen police confirm a vehicle caught fire with a gun sitting inside of it, which sent bullets into the air.

It happened on Alice Street around 12 am Saturday morning, according to Interim Police Chief Quinnell Shumpert.

Bullets were going off as the car burned, he said.

No one was injured in the accident.

Shumpert says he doesn't know what caused the fire.
