UPDATE: Verona man charged after shooting

Verona police have released the identity of the man arrested in connection to last week's shooting.

VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Verona police have released the identity of the man arrested in connection to last week's shooting.

The shooting happened on Thursday, April 26 at the Chevron store on Raymond Avenue.

No one was hurt in the shooting, but dozens of shots were fired.

One person was taken into custody following the incident.

Verona Police Chief J.B. Long identifies the suspect as 40-year-old Roderick Clifton of Verona. Long says Clifton is facing charges of possession of a weapon by a felon.

Police believe two other people were involved in the shooting.
