UPDATE: Webster escapee captured, more arrests expected

Update 01/23/19 10:07 p.m.

The Webster County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Anthony Logan, 18, has been captured.

He was arrested late Wednesday night. He was located underneath a bed in a home on Hebron Road in Choctaw County.

Update 01/23/19 8:40 p.m.

Acting Sheriff Andy McCants with the Webster County Sheriff's Department said the Mississippi Department of Corrections made arrests as a result of the continuing investigation into the escape. 

Three people in total have been arrested in connection with the escape, with more arrests to come.  

Logan is still on the run.

EUPORA, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities in Webster County are looking for escaped inmate Anthony Logan.

The 18-year-old, according to acting sheriff Andy McCants, fled by climbing over the wire gate of the exercise yard, jumped on the roof and going out back.

That all happened around 3:45 Sunday afternoon.

Logan was charged and indicted in 2018 for burglary of a dwelling and was waiting to be transported by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

He's described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
