COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Lowndes County investigators have charged a Starkville man with capital murder in connection to a triple homicide in Artesia earlier this week.
Clark Earl Allen, Jr., 20, faces the charge for the deaths of Demario Anquan Snell, Mauricio Lamarcus Nance and Tyshun Bernard Fields.
The incident happened the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 15, at a mobile home on Mobile Drive.
Three men were pronounced dead at the scene. Coroner Greg Merchant said all three men suffered gunshot wounds.
Investigators say Allen was a guest inside the house at the time of the murders. He was taken into custody just after the shooting report.
“Investigators have worked around the clock since the initial report and have established probable cause to arrest Allen,” stated Sheriff Mike Arledge.
However, investigators say they are not releasing specifics relating to a motive.
“This investigation is still ongoing and anyone with any information is still asked to come forward.”
