NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - Police have arrested a man in connection to last week's theft of a tractor in New Albany.

New Albany Police Chief Chris Robertson identifies the suspect as 71-year-old Lee Goolsby. He is charged with grand larceny.

The John Deere tractor was stolen the weekend of March 9 from a hayfield near Cracker Barrel in which the owner was using it to move hay.

A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the execution of a search warrant at Goolsby's property in Pontotoc County on Monday.

Officers there found the stolen John Deere and took Goolsby into custody. He's out on a $25,000 bond.

Robertson says Goolsby lives in Union County but has property in Pontotoc County, where officers found the tractor.
