HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) - Two people are now behind bars in connection to three home invasions in North Mississippi.
Marcques Clinton of Tupelo and Corey Wilson of Houston, both 20, are being held at the Chickasaw County jail.
The home invasions happened last month in Pontotoc and Chickasaw counties, and in Starkville.
Chickasaw County Sheriff James Meyers said there are 16 total charges for the two, between all agencies.
Starkville Police Chief Mark Ballard said he believes money was the motive.
"They see a nice car, they see an out-of-state tag and they make the decision, a dangerous decision to kick in the door and rob individuals," said Ballard. "They did so because of cash, they needed cash. I think that's a commonality with each and everyone."
Law enforcement said Clinton and Wilson were armed during each invasion.
