COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Police in Columbus have arrested two people following a recent holdup at a daycare.
Johnny Summers, 36, and Trellis Campbell, 19, are charged with armed robbery.
A judge set bond at $100,000 each Monday.
Chief Fred Shelton said Summers went into a daycare in the 200 block of Burn Circle last week wearing a mask and carrying a gun.
According to Shelton, children were present when a male daycare employee was robbed. The chief added the robber and the victim knew one another.
Campbell is accused of being the getaway driver following the robbery.
Police recovered the backpack taken during the robbery as well as the gun used to carry out the crime.
