ASHLAND, Miss. (WTVA) - Benton County investigators arrested two people in connection with a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon at Ashland Hardware.
Benton County Sheriff Robby Goolsby confirmed the shooting occurred at approximately 4 p.m.
Officers arrested the alleged shooter, Tyler Robertson, and his alleged accomplice, Whitney Whitt.
The sheriff said Robertson and Whitt are in a romantic relationship.
Medics transported the victim, identified as Kevin Whitt, to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The sheriff said Kevin Whitt sustained a single gunshot wound.
Goolsby said Kevin Whitt and Whitney Whitt are married but have been separated for several months.
Robertson and Whitney Whitt have been living in Holly Springs, the sheriff said.
All three individuals are from Ashland.
Investigators are working to determine a motive.
