Student, 12, charged in threat against Nettleton schools

Law enforcement said a 12-year-old student has now been officially charged after making a threat against the Nettleton schools earlier this month.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Law enforcement said a 12-year-old student has now been officially charged after making a threat against the Nettleton schools.

Word of the charge came in a Facebook post Thursday by the Lee County Sheriff's Department.

"He acted alone, and we are confident that he was the sole source of the threat," the sheriff's department said on social media.

The threat was made on August 18.
