TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The City of Tupelo has decided to close its public transit program for another week to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
This cautionary measure will allow Tupelo Transit drivers and employees another week of isolation, the city announced Monday morning.
Tupelo Transit will reopen on Monday, April 13.
On March 31, the city confirmed one of its drivers tested positive for the virus on March 28.
The city originally announced Tupelo Transit would remain closed until Tuesday, April 7.
