Tupelo mayor seeks re-election next year

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton announced his intention to seek re-election..

Shelton made the announcement Thursday on his Facebook page.

It was seven years ago when voters first elected Shelton to office.

The election is set for June 8, 2021.

Shelton says when he does leave office he will still call Tupelo home and will go back to practicing law,
