TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Tupelo Public School District (TPSD) is offering free meals to children while schools remain closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The school district begins its drive-thru meal service program Thursday. The service is for all children 18-and-younger, regardless if they attend a TPSD school or not.

Breakfast and lunch will be offered weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Early Children Education Center (ECEC), Lawhon Elementary, Pierce Street Elementary, Lawndale Elementary and Rankin Elementary.

According to the school district, children must be present in the vehicle to receive meals. Each child will receive one lunch meal and one breakfast meal. All food must be taken off the campuses to eat. Adult meals are not available.
