Tupelo PD: Beware of scams

Tupelo police are reminding people to be cautious when it comes to "too good to be true" calls and mail.

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tupelo police are reminding people to be cautious when it comes to "too good to be true" calls and mail.

"We continue to receive reports of phone, mail and email scams, especially targeting the elderly," police tweeted Wednesday. "Please remember that legitimate governmental organizations will not call and demand money over the phone."
