WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WTVA) - President Donald Trump has claimed he has been vindicated in the special counsel investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia.

Speaking outside the airport in West Palm Beach Sunday evening, Trump declared total victory.

"It was just announced there was no collusion with Russia, the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. There was no collusion with Russia. There was no obstruction," he stated. "None whatsoever. And it was a complete and total exoneration."

In a letter to lawmakers Sunday, Attorney General William Barr wrote that Robert Mueller did not have sufficient evidence to prosecute Trump for obstruction of justice.
