Two children were killed in an ATV crash in Franklin County, Alabama, Saturday, state troopers said.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WTVA) - Two children were killed in an ATV crash in Franklin County, Alabama, Saturday, state troopers said.

The children, ages four and eight, were riding a 2009 Arctic Cat ATV on Mill Creek Road, just off Highway 19 near the Marion County line when it overturned, troopers said. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the children have not been released.

Residents say the children were siblings and were in a foster home.

The crash is under investigation.
