Troopers: Two killed in Union County head-on crash

Updated - The Sunday morning crash killed a Memphis man and a New Albany man.

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed two people on Sunday.

State troopers responded to Highway 15, between New Albany and Ecru, just before 9 a.m.

Two vehicles collided head-on, killing both drivers.

Three passengers were taken to the hospital for their injuries, according to MHP.

MHP later released more information about the wreck.

Troopers identified the deceased victims as George Williamson, 55, of Memphis, Tennessee. He was traveling northbound.

Christopher Farr, 22, of New Albany, was traveling southbound and entered the northbound lane, colliding with Williamson’s car, according to MHP.

Both men were pronounced dead on the scene.
