Train collision sends truck driver to hospital

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A collision with a train in Monroe County sent a truck driver to the hospital, according to Sheriff Cecil Cantrell.

The truck driver, Rev. Willis Dobbs, was taken to the hospital in Columbus with minor injuries, Cantrell said. 

The incident happened sometime near 4:30 p.m. on Old Highway 45, east of Aberdeen Tuesday. 

A Burlington Northern train conductor saw the truck and tried to slow down, the sheriff said.

Dobbs tried to get out of the vehicle but he could not.
