COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - East Mississippi Community College students are preparing to be the next generation of skilled workers after receiving two cars for their Automotive Technical Program.

Carl Hogan donated two Toyota Corollas to their program at the Carl Hogan Toyota dealership Thursday afternoon.

The donation intends to help students practice repairs on modern vehicles using the latest technology.

EMCC Automotive Technology Lead Instructor Dale Henry said the car donation will allow his students to get hands-on training with the Toyota Express Maintenance which includes oil and filter change, tire rotation and brake, fluid and multi-point inspections.

The 2015 Corollas are pre-production vehicles assembled at Toyota Manufacturing Mississippi in Blue Springs.
