According to Cpl. Jason Roe with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, law enforcement officers were serving an arrest warrant on Hasheem Rutherford of Ripley for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as well as breaking & entering.
The Tippah County Sheriff's Department received information from a tip that Rutherford was hiding on a property at 1781 County Road 808 in Ripley for a shooting that took place earlier that week.
Officers from the sheriff's department, Ripley Police Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and troopers converged on the location and waited until SWAT made entry into the building.
Roe says Rutherford was located and taken into custody without incident sometime near 5 p.m.

TIPPAH COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a shooting incident that took place Tuesday evening.
Tippah County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene on County Road 808 with assistance from the Mississippi Highway Patrol SWAT Team based out of New Albany.
WTVA has been told one person was taken into custody.
