EDITOR'S NOTE: In a story we first reported over the weekend, a possible robbery gone bad may have led to the killing of a 70 year-old Baldwyn man. Three juveniles are charged with capital murder in his death. All are currently behind bars in the Lee County jail. WTVA’s Mike Russell investigated the story in more detail on Monday and filed this report.

BALDWYN, Miss. (WTVA) - A two week old murder is still very much under investigation -- the accused killers are juveniles. Baldwyn Police are tight-lipped about this case, as is the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, primarily because of the ages of the accused killers. One of them is 14, other two are 13. All three are charged with capital murder.

The victim, Henry Adams-- originally from Marietta, Mississippi, but lived in Baldwyn for the past 40 years -- was killed on October 23. We don’t know very much about the crime, other then it may have been a robbery. A friend of Henry Adams, Ronny Johnson, who went to school with Adams, told WTVA that Adams used to be a used car salesman and was known to carry large amounts of cash in his wallet. And though he was retired from that business, we're told he continued to dabble in it from time to time. We're also told that one of the accused juveniles may have washed cars for Adams, and would have known about his tendency to carry cash.

"Henry was known - and I know personally when Henry was dealing buying and selling cars, that he would usually have a good bit of cash in his wallet, said Ronny Johnson, a friend of Adams. "People that would have been around Henry would have known that it was not uncommon for him to have a few thousand dollars in his wallet."

Again, all three juveniles have been arrested and are behind bars in Lee County, charged with murder in the shooting death of Adams. He was shot twice in the chest. They are 14 year old Jayce Bryson West, 13 year old Dequan Stribling, and 13 year old Quindaris Burress. All three had bonds set of $1 million. Authorities are handling the case carefully, given the age of the accused killers. We expect a statement from investigators soon.

High pressure will briefly dominate our weather forecast for Friday and Saturday. For our Saturday morning we will see some brief, isolated showers move through but they will move out by the afternoon leaving us with some sunshine. More low pressure moves into our area for the end of the weekend. This will bring back into our area some more chances for some rain and thunderstorms.
