BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Three people have been arrested and Booneville police are looking for three others after two women were tied up and robbed in an apartment.
Booneville Police Chief Michael Ramey says the armed robbery happened the morning of February 1 at the College View Apartments.
Ramey says the two women were tied up with tape around their wrists and mouth, then robbed. The robbers then left the scene.
The women were eventually able to get free and call the police.
Three men were arrested Monday.
Ajearious Johnson, 20, of Saltillo, was arrested at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC), where he is a student. He was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. His bond was set at $10,000.
Jalon Gates, 19, of Houston, was also arrested at NEMCC and charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping. His bond was set at $250,000.
Gates was also charged Tuesday by Starkville Police on two count of aggravated assault. The charges stem from a January 28 shooting incident that happend at the Starkville Sportsplex. His bond there was set at $100,000.
Corey Kilgore, 31, of Houston, was picked up by the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department. Booneville police charged him with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping. His bond was set at $250,000.
Ramey says the motive for the robbery is under investigation.
According to Starkville police, Gates is charged with two counts of aggravated assault in Starkville. Police say these charges stem from a January 28 shooting incident that happened at the Starkville Sportsplex.
Gates' bond in Starkville was set at $100,000.
