(WTVA) - Though Mississippi State enjoyed a first-round bye in the SEC baseball tournament, the bulldogs couldn't muster a win in either of their two games.
Florida was the first to hand MSU a loss on Wednesday (May 26), ending the game due to the 10-run rule after the end of the seventh inning. The final score was 13-1, Florida.
Today (May 27), the bulldogs faced off against the Tennessee volunteers in the loser's bracket but still came up short. By the 8th inning, the game was over due to the run rule for the second day in a row. The final score was 13-2, Tennessee.
Now, Chris Lemonis and his team look towards next Monday (May 31) to wait and see how the bulldogs will place in this year's College World Series Regionals. Sites for the regional games will be announced Sunday, May 30.
