CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into gun thefts.
The suspects are identified as James Stephenson, 18, and Jermaine Wooden, 18, both of Corinth.
Stephenson is charged with two counts of firearm trafficking.
Wooden has been charged with one count of burglary of a commercial building.
The break-ins happened at local businesses where multiple handguns were stolen.
The break-ins occurred between late July and late August.
Michael Suitor with the Corinth Police Department confirms three burglaries. In total, more than 20 handguns were stolen.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are urging anyone who may have purchased these guns to contact police. Police are focusing on getting the guns off the streets.
