PEARL, Miss. (WTVA) - Sunday’s storm damaged at least 175 homes across the state.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) released its first preliminary damage report on Wednesday.
So far, Lee County has reported damage to 65 homes and two businesses.
Pontotoc County reported damage to 10 homes and one business.
Hinds County reported damage to 24 homes. Yazoo County reported damage to 76 homes and four businesses.
More counties, such as Calhoun and Itawamba counties, are expected to submit additional reports.
The National Weather Service surveyed and confirmed 12 tornados touched down across the state on Sunday. The following occurred in northeast Mississippi.
- EF-1 in Calhoun County
- EF-0 in Itawamba County
- EF-1 in Lee County
- EF-1 in Pontotoc/Lee counties
No fatalities have been reported to MEMA.
An EF-1 tornado destroyed several businesses and homes in Calhoun City; however, it appears Calhoun County is still assessing damage and will file a report in the future.
