Hatley residents recall encounter with damaging storm overnight

HATLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - An overnight storm left behind some damage in the Hatley community of Monroe County early Wednesday morning.

The storm damaged a house across the street from Hatley School.

WTVA anchor Craig Ford was on the scene shortly after the storm passed through Hatley.

He spoke with the homeowner and two other nearby residents who recalled their scary encounters with the storm.

No injuries reported.

The storm did leave damage along Weaver Creek Road and Nash Road in Hatley.

Monroe County Sheriff Kevin Crook also reported downed trees and power lines.
