UPDATE 04/13/18 - Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassare and the Mississippi Department of Corrections confirm Kevin Rush was captured Friday morning in Alabama.

Grassaree says Rush was captured in Tuscaloosa.

NOXUBEE COUNTY, (WTVA) - A state inmate escaped while on work detail in Macon on Wednesday.

Noxubee County Community Work Center Inmate Kevin G. Rush, 37, is wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Rush is serving 10 years for both residential and vehicle burglary in Lowndes County.

He is 5'10" tall and weighs 208 pounds.
