JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - No foul play is suspected in the death of a state inmate in south Mississippi.
The inmate, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was pronounced dead Monday evening at the Greene County Hospital.
The inmate was at the South Mississippi Correctional Institution in Leakesville, which is approximately 54 miles northeast of Biloxi.
The coroner suspects no foul play, according to the Mississippi State Department of Corrections. An autopsy will determine the official cause and the manner of death.
