STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - One Starkville woman is making a difference one stitch at a time.
Lisa Wilson is a part of the Starkville So Strong Organization.
She said she wanted to help out her local community so she began sewing face masks.
Wilson said she sewed over 600 masks since the coronavirus pandemic began.
She makes the masks with her granddaughter.
A pastor at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Minnesota reached out to Wilson for some masks.
Wilson said the pastor is a Mississippi native.
She mailed some masks to the church on Friday.
Wilson said she doesn't plan on stopping as long as there is a need for her work.
"You know church is closed, buildings are closed, but it doesn't mean that work that Christians have to do is closed. So that was an opportunity for me to give back and do what Christians are supposed to do," she said.
