STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Police say an armed robber remains at large after he tried to get money from another person’s bank account.
According to the Starkville Police Department, officers responded just before midnight Tuesday to the area of University Drive.
Investigators learned an armed man approached an occupied vehicle and forced the victim to drive to a bank in an attempt to get money from the victim’s bank account.
The robber later fled from the College View area and remains at large as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
The robber was described as a Black male wearing dark clothing. Police did not provide a name nor further description.
Investigators continue to search the area. Residents should expect to see a higher presence of police officers in the area.
