Starkville police make arrests for park shooting; to increase patrols

Police have arrested two brothers following a shooting at a Starkville park.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Police have arrested two brothers following a shooting at a Starkville park.

The shooting, which happened Monday evening at McKee Park, wounded a man who was playing basketball.

Police arrested Cedric Splounge, 19, and Kentravius Splounge, 18, both of Greenville.

Cedric Splounge is charged with aggravated assault.

Kentravius Splounge faces a charge of accessory after the fact.

According to the Starkville Police Department, police officers will increase patrols through the city’s parks and provide extra staff for future events.
