UPDATE: Starkville police hope video will help solve store robbery

Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers is offering cash rewards up to $1,000 for tips leading to arrests.

This armed robbery happened on November 5 at the Sprint Mart on Academy

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - The search is on for a person accused of robbing a Starkville gas station at gunpoint.

The robbery happened Monday morning at the Sprint Mart on Academy Road.

The store’s workers say the robber walked through the doors, pushed a clerk to the floor and held another person at gunpoint while stealing money.

Workers described the robber as having a mask.

The person got away with an unknown amount of money.

Workers say no one was seriously injured during the incident.

This marks the second armed robbery of a gas station in the past few weeks. The previous one happened on October 25 at Quality Fuels on Highway 12 West.

That suspect is still on the run.

Starkville police are encouraging the public to assist in identifying the suspect.
