STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Two arrests have been made in connection to Tuesday afternoon’s fatal shooting in Starkville.
The shooting, which happened at the Brookville Garden Apartments, claimed the life of Laterrence McCarter, 23.

McCarter was found dead in a car that stopped after it hit a parked van in the parking lot of an apartment complex, according to The Associated Press.
Starkville Police charged Aviante Jordan, 16, with murder and Lakorian Stewart, 30, with conspiracy to commit a crime.
Jordan’s bond was set at $1 million and Stewart’s was set at $100,000.
Police did not provide further information about the investigation.
