SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tropical Storm Olga barreled through Mississippi on Saturday, and its fast-pace caused multiple power outages in and around Lee County.
At the height of the power outages, Tombigbee Electric Power Association peaked with more than 19,000 customers without power.
They continued their work Monday night to restore electricity to their customers.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Monday, the power company stated there were approximately 1,500 outages remaining.
At 6:29 a.m. on Tuesday, the company estimated approximately 700 outages.
At 10:43 a.m., Tombigbee reported approximately 500 outages.
At 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, Tombigbee reported approximately 200 outages.
If you are traveling in an area without power, remember to slow down and use caution as crews continue to work.
Also, make sure to treat any traffic light that is out as a four-way stop.
There is good news for customers of Tupelo Water and Light, all of their customers now have power restored.
