BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - The Early Childhood Education Program at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) is teaching the educators who will guide our future.
This is a two-year program centered around preschool children. During the week, adult students at NEMCC teach children ages 3 and 4 about science, math, and more.
Upon graduation, students walk away with the necessary certifications to teach in a preschool or open a daycare.
Jenniffer Newell, the instructor of the program, said graduates of this program come highly-recommend.
“I get calls all the time from preschool programs in our area that need teachers, that know what they’re doing, and when our girls are done, they know what they’re doing," she said.
The Early Childhood Education Technology Program isn't just for women; men can also enroll in this course.
