JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - Site work could start next week on a $67 million college housing project at Mississippi State University.
The university says the state College Board approved an agreement for the project Thursday between MSU and a private company, Education Realty Trust of Memphis.
College View will be built on the northwestern edge of campus where the Aiken Village apartments used to be.
Plans call for 656 upperclassmen beds to be available in the fall of next year. The project will also include retail businesses, an outdoor entertainment space and a day care.
