UPDATE: Webster County man safe; Silver Alert canceled

According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Thomas Medders has been found safe. This Silver Alert has been canceled.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - A Silver Alert has been issued for a Webster County man.

The man is identified as Thomas Glen Medders, 62.

He is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds with white hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen this morning, Dec. 17, in the vicinity of 1840 Lebanon Road in Webster County. He was last seen wearing a red checkered jacket, boots and blue jeans.

Medders is believed to be in a 2003 black GMC Envoy. However, his direction of travel is currently unknown.

His family members say he suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment.

Anyone with information about Medders’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Webster County Sheriff’s Department at 662-263-4815.
