Okolona police found a man shot inside of his car Saturday night

OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Okolona police are investigating a late night shooting that initially left one man in critical condition.

Okolona City Marshal William Randall confirmed a man was found shot inside of his car on Triplet Street around 10:00 p.m. Saturday night.

The family tells WTVA the victim is Dylan Perry, 28. They say he is currently being treated at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Family members say he was shot in the leg and hand and underwent surgery Sunday afternoon.  The victim was initially on a breathing machine but is in stable condition as of Monday. 

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. If you have any information regarding the shooting, please contact the Okolona Police Department.
