Sheriff: Man in custody after multi-county chase

According to Yalobusha County Sheriff Lance Humphreys, a Memphis man faces charges after leading police on a chase Monday morning.

YALOBUSHA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Yalobusha County Sheriff Lance Humphreys confirms Coffeeville police attempted to pull over a vehicle Monday morning for traffic violations, but the vehicle would not stop. 

According to Humphreys, Yalobusha County deputies took over the chase and pursued the vehicle through Oxford. They were finally able to stop it in Abbeville. 

Humphreys says four people were arrested and one was charged. He confirms Kendall Ray Simmons, 21, of Memphis, is charged with felony fleeing by the Coffeeville Police Department.
