According to the sheriff’s department, 25-year-old Joshua Lazore of Tupelo entered the lobby twice, hours apart, and told deputies he wished to surrender himself.
The deputies found no active warrants for him and told him to leave because the lobby was closed.
Lazore reportedly walked outside the building, then re-entered the lobby and threw a computer on the flood and used a chair to destroy two TVs and a kiosk used for the inmate commissary system.
Deputies arrested him and charged him with felony destruction of public property.
According to the sheriff’s department, Lazore told investigators he thought about assaulting deputies during the earlier meeting.
