STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Starkville police say a store clerk was assaulted Thursday night.

At 8:36 p.m., Starkville police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Quality Fuels at 300 Highway 12 West.

Police say the clerk received minor injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0” in height, with an average body build.

Police say the suspect is not in custody.

The incident is still under active investigation.
