TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Salvation Army women's auxiliary has begun preparations for their annual Thanksgiving feast.
Monday's focus was on the green bean casserole. Each year the Salvation Army feeds thousands of residents.
"We are making enough casseroles for like 4,000 people," Jennie Johnson, whose a coordinator for the event, said. "Last year, we fed close to four thousand so we don't ever know from one year to the next how many we will have coming in."
The Thanksgiving lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
