TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Lee County investigators charged a Saltillo teenager in connection with several auto burglaries.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, the burglaries happened in the area of County Road 811 near Jean Circle, north of Interstate 22.
Investigators located the suspect, 18-year-old Tyson Brown, who lives in the same area where the burglaries happened. The sheriff’s department says investigators also recovered stolen items.
Investigators determined at least five or six vehicles had been burglarized in the area of County Road 811.
Lee County investigators charged Brown with five counts of auto burglary. Brown faces similar charges in Itawamba County from an earlier arrest.
Lee County investigators also arrested Autumn Long, 19, also of Saltillo.
Long is in a relationship with Brown, according to the sheriff’s department; however, investigators determined she was not directly involved in the burglaries allegedly committed by Brown.
Instead, investigators say Long tried to use credit/debit cards obtained by Brown from the auto burglaries.
Investigators charged her with fraud.
