STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) — One hair salon owner is preparing to close down his shop in compliance with the governor’s shelter in place order.
Steven Conner has owned the Chromatix On Main hair salon for five years in downtown Starkville.
He said he temporarily closed his shop last Monday as the coronavirus cases in Mississippi began to rise.
Conner said he continued to style clients’ hair for those who have not traveled.
He said he also implemented changes, like booking clients hours apart and spacing clients one chair apart to keep a safe distance.
Conner said he will miss his clients, but gave them tips on how to color their hair until he can open up again.
