Report: Starkville man faces sexual battery, weapons charge

A Starkville man was indicted by an Oktibbeha County grand jury for sexual battery and illegal weapon possession.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - A Starkville man was indicted by an Oktibbeha County grand jury for sexual battery and illegal weapon possession. 

The Starkville Daily News reports 35-year-old James Bardwell, Jr., sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl on or around Sept. 16, 2017. 

He was also charged with the possession of a weapon by a convicted felon on or about June 2, 2017. 

No court date has been set for Bardwell.
