YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A train has collided with a tanker truck in Yazoo County, reports WLBT-TV in Jackson.
The collision happened Friday just before 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Trestle Road and Cessna Road.
The intersection is north of Bentonia, which is approximately 31 miles north of Jackson.
The TV station reports it involved an Amtrak train.
According to law enforcement, the tanker truck was trying to cross the railroad track when the southbound train collided with it.
The truck driver was identified as Curtis Moore, 62, of Bolton, according to the report.
He was reportedly taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for serious injuries.
An engineer and a passenger on the train reportedly complained of minor injuries.
WLBT later reported the train was from Chicago and its destination was New Orleans, via Memphis and Jackson.
