PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) - A weekend crash in Pontotoc County claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the wreck happened Saturday, Jan. 16 at approximately 5:38 a.m. on Highway 9 near Dillard Road.
MHP spokesman Marvin Baird said Franklin Black, 23, of Randolph, was driving north when his SUV left the roadway and rolled over several times.
The crash injured Black but killed his passenger, Annemarie Ennis, of Myrtle.
Correction: MHP says Ennis is from Myrtle, not Randolph as MHP previously stated.
