OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) — Aldermen in Oxford voted Tuesday to shut down restaurant and bar dining areas for 15 days as part of the effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The move came at the request of Mayor Robyn Tannehill, who believes the move was necessary because of the pandemic.

Those restaurants and bars will be allowed to do curbside, delivery and drive-through business.
The restriction will take effect at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Also in the resolution are the option for the mayor to shut down liquor stores, to stop beer and liquor sales and to implement a curfew for no more than five days.
